AHA Heartsaver® Pediatric CPR AED + First Aid trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This class is great for childcare workers, babysitters and anyone who may respond to emergencies of a child or infant until professional help arrives.

Who is this class for?

This class is intended for childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches, and volunteers for children’s sports organizations. This class is also ideal for parents, grandparents, extended family, babysitters, and guardians.

Heartsaver® Pediatric CPR AED + First Aid - BLENDED LEARNING
(Online Course + Hands On Practice)

AHA Heartsaver® Pediatric CPR AED + First Aid is great for daycare workers, babysitters and anyone who may respond to emergencies of a child or infant until professional help arrives. The blended option is great for those who don't want to sit in a class setting. This appointment is for the hands-on practice. Once booked, you'll receive a link to complete your online modules, which must be completed PRIOR to this appointment.

Class Completion Certification eCard

Upon completion of all class requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver® CPR AED + First Aid certification eCard from the American Heart Association, which is valid for two years.

Are you a healthcare professional?

Our Basic Life Support (BLS) class trains healthcare professionals to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

  • Who should take a BLS Course?
    BLS (Basic Life Support) is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in various settings. This includes doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other medical professionals, as well as students entering clinical experiences in the medical field. It's also suitable for individuals in roles where BLS certification is required by their employer.
  • How long is the BLS Class?
    The length of the class varies depending on the learning option you choose. Instructor-led Initial and Renewal classes are scheduled for approximately 3 hours. For the BLS Blended Learning class, the online portion takes between 30-60 minutes to complete, and then the in-office hands on practice and skills check is approximately 30-45 minutes.
  • Does the HeartCode® BLS class include First Aid?
    First Aid can be purchased as an add-on to the HeartCode® BLS class for only $10. The First Aid lessons adds approximately 30 minutes to the class time.
  • Is a workbook required for my BLS class?
    AHA requires students to have access to the BLS Provider Manual. A BLS Provider Manual will be provided for you to use during class at no additional cost to you. You may also purchase a physical or electronic version of the manual, as well.
  • What if I can't attend one of your live classes?
    Fireproof offers four learning options for you to choose for your convenience: Traditional Classroom: Attend a live, in-person in a classroom setting. Blended Learning: This option is great for those who don't want to sit in a class setting. Complete the BLS online modules at your home or office.   • How long is the BLS Certification valid?
    BLS certification is valid for two years.

    Yes, we are certified Instructors who are authorized to teach American Heart Association BLS, CPR + AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen classes.
